The real Audi RS Q e-tron was specially developed for one of the toughest rallies in the world: the Dakar Rally. Instead of a traditional powertrain, Audi opted for a special electric drive concept with an internal combustion engine serving as an energy generator. The wheels themselves are electrically driven. With this innovative technology, Audi made history in 2024 by becoming the first manufacturer to win the Dakar Rally with an electrically powered prototype.

The Rastar 92700 translates this striking rally car into a robust building model. The high body, wide wheel arches, large off-road tires, and complex design of the RS Q e-tron are clearly recognizable. The familiar Audi details and Dakar look are also incorporated into the model. The finishing touches are applied using a combination of stickers and printed parts.

Attention has also been paid to the functions. The doors can be opened, and the steering wheel is linked to the front wheels, so the steering actually moves. Also special are the two spare wheels included with the model. The rubber tires can actually be removed and changed, fitting the rally character of the car.

The 92700 comes standard with RC functionality. With the included 2.4 GHz remote control, the self-built model can drive forwards and backward and steer left and right. The necessary 7.4V lithium battery and USB charging cable for the car are also included. So with this set, it's not just about building and displaying, but you can actually drive the RS Q e-tron afterward.

With a scale of 1:14 and dimensions of approximately 33×18×15 centimeters, the end result is relatively compact, but due to its height and large off-road wheels, the model still has a substantial appearance. The Rastar 92700 Audi RS Q e-tron is therefore a unique combination of a technical building set, an RC car, and one of the most innovative rally cars Audi has ever developed.
